My name is Lilian, and I never imagined that the life I had painstakingly built with my husband David could collapse in a single conversation. We had been married for eight years, blessed with two children, and living in a comfortable home in Nairobi.

Our children were upstairs, blissfully unaware of the chaos downstairs. I felt a wave of despair wash over me. It wasn’t just the betrayal; it was the feeling of helplessness, the realization that my trust had been violated in ways I hadn’t even imagined. 

My friend Faith, who lived nearby, arrived immediately after I called her in shock.
