Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Dr Oburu Odinga, has made a sudden u-turn against his earlier proposal that the orange party should be given the deputy president position, by President William Ruto if he wants to get their support in the next year's general elections.
According to a report by Taifa Leo Newspaper headline today, Dr Oburu has openly assured Deputy President Prof Kithure Kindiki that they are not after his position.

This statement has reportedly been resulted by the new proposal by as revealed by ODM chairperson Gladys Wanga, that they want a 50 percent share of government from Ruto ahead of 2027 polls.
Therefore Dr Oburu seems to have changed his idea about how to approach the coalition pact deal talks with Ruto's UDA.
