I Was Surrounded By People Who Pretended To Support Me Until Their True Intentions Were Finally Revealed, Woman Explains

Esther Wambui, a 31-year-old woman from Nairobi, recalls a period in her life when she believed she was surrounded by genuine support.

From the outside, her circle of friends and acquaintances appeared encouraging, always offering words of motivation and acting interested in her progress. However, as time passed, she began to realize that not everyone had her best interests at heart.

“At first, I genuinely thought they were happy for me,” Esther begins.

Esther had recently started building a small business she was passionate about. She invested her time, energy, and resources into growing it step by step.

During this period, she often shared her ideas and progress with people she considered close to her.

“They would always tell me I was doing great and that I should keep going,” she says.
