My Children Were Always Failing In School But Their Performance Improved Overnight, Kisumu Parent Shares What Happened

For years, Miriam, a mother from Nyalenda in Kisumu, carried the constant worry of her children’s performance in school.

No matter how much she encouraged them, bought new books, or hired tutors, their grades stayed low.

Every end-of-term report felt like a painful reminder that something was wrong. She often wondered if she was failing as a parent, because despite her efforts, nothing changed.

Her eldest son, Brian, had repeated a class twice. Her daughter, Achieng, always looked discouraged whenever exams approached.

Teachers kept telling her the same thing: “Your children can do better, but something is holding them back.” Miriam could not understand what that “something” was. She spent many nights asking herself why her children struggled so much while others improved.

At first, she thought it was simply a matter of discipline and study habits. She tried strict rules—limited TV time, extra homework hours, and even weekend revision sessions.

But instead of improving, the children became more stressed. Brian began complaining of sudden headaches whenever he tried to read.

Achieng would forget everything she had studied. Miriam felt completely helpless. It was as though her home had a cloud of confusion that never lifted.

One Sunday afternoon, she opened up to a close friend during a women’s meeting in church. The friend listened quietly, then told her that sometimes academic struggles can be caused by unseen blockages or negative energies affecting children’s focus.

Miriam was hesitant at first. She had never imagined something spiritual could interfere with education. But her friend shared a story of how her own nephew had faced the same problem until they sought help elsewhere.

Miriam did not act immediately. She needed time to think. But as days passed, she watched her children become more withdrawn and fearful of school.

Their performance continued to drop. One day, Brian came home with a result slip that pushed her to tears. She realized she had to try something different—something beyond books and tutors.READ MORE........
