Orengo Declines Senate Questioning Over CoG–Senate Standoff

 

Siaya Governor James Orengo has declined to be questioned by a Senate watchdog committee, citing an ongoing standoff between the Council of Governors (CoG) and the Senate over accountability procedures.

Orengo appeared before the Senate Public Accounts Committee on Monday, March 30, 2026.
