Universities Fund to Release Sh4.2 Billion to Support Newly Enrolled Students in Public Universities

 

The Universities Fund is set to release Sh4.2 billion to public universities across the country this week to support students who have recently joined the institutions. 

The funds are part of the government’s financial support for the 2025/2026 financial year and are expected to ease the pressure faced by universities as they accommodate new learners.

According to the acting Chief Executive Officer of the Universities Fund, Edwin Wanyonyi, the money will help institutions manage the growing number of students who have been admitted to public universities.
