Alai Turns The Heat On Orengo After He Publicly Endorsed Kalonzo Musyoka's Presidential Ambition.
Political commentator Robert Alai has again caused drama after attacking Siaya Governor James Orengo. Alai said Orengo is full of big talk but does things differently when it comes to real politics.
He was talking after Orengo endorsed Kalonzo Musyoka for president and also got a walking stick from a Kamba elder at Opoda Farm.
Alai said Orengo talks a lot about protecting democracy in political parties, but in Siaya, he does the opposite.
He said the governor does not allow freedom even for people close to him.
Alai said, “Orengo had fools cheer him because they don’t know that Orengo is the most incompetent and corrupt governor Siaya has ever had.
Even his deputy doesn’t have the freedoms he so preaches to us. Only complete fools believe Orengo.”
According to Alai, many people clap for Orengo because they do not know the real story.
He said the governor likes to show off, receive gifts, and get praise, but when it comes to real leadership, he fails his people.
Alai said that people should not be fooled by what Orengo says because his actions do not match his words.
Alai also questioned why Orengo would support Kalonzo’s bid for president when he is not even fair in his own backyard.
He said true leaders should practice what they preach.
If a leader cannot allow freedom for people around him, how can he claim to support democracy in the whole country?
His words caused a lot of talk on social media, with many Kenyans agreeing that Orengo’s behavior does not match his speeches.
Some said Alai is right that Orengo focuses more on showing power than helping people.
Others said even his deputy has no real freedom in Siaya, which shows that Alai’s claims are true.
In the end, Alai made it clear that Orengo’s big talks about democracy are just words.
According to him, people must look at what the governor does, not just what he says.
Alai warned Kenyans not to be fooled by gifts, praise, or speeches and to judge leaders by their real actions.
