CUE Warns 15 Colleges for Offering Fake Degrees in Kenya

Kenya’s Commission for University Education (CUE) has issued a warning about 15 institutions operating without proper accreditation.

According to the government notice, these schools are offering degree and postgraduate programs that are not recognized in Kenya.

The alert came after a recent DCI raid at a graduation ceremony held by Northwestern Christian University in Mombasa, which highlighted the growing problem of unaccredited institutions.

CUE emphasized that any school offering degrees without approval is illegal, and its qualifications will not be accepted in the country.

Students and employers are urged to check that the institutions they deal with are listed on the CUE website before enrolling or hiring.
