Governor Ayacko Forced To Protect Oburu During A Small Scuffle At ODM Event In Migori
There was a brief moment of tension during an ODM event in Migori when Governor Ochillo Ayacko was forced to step in and protect Siaya Senator Oburu Oginga.
The incident happened during a memorial service for former Prime Minister Raila Odinga at Sony Green Stadium in Awendo Sub-County.
In the video which has been shared by one of the online media, a small scuffle broke out near the podium where leaders were seated prompting Oburu to question what was happening.
In the clip, Governor Ayacko quickly moved toward Senator Oburu to ensure his safety as security officers tried to calm the situation. The program resumed shortly after order was restored.
In his speech, Senator Oburu, who is the acting ODM Party leader, praised the people of Migori and Homa Bay, saying they were like Raila’s political bedrooms.
He said that whenever Raila visited Kisumu, he always wanted to go to Migori because of the strong support he enjoyed there.
The Migori memorial service came just a day after a similar event in Homa Bay was qattended by several ODM leaders and supporters.
