The suspect, identified as Robert Nabea, is accused of hacking Bishop Thomas Kuto to death after an altercation at a local bar.
Bomet County Police Commander said the suspect was safely placed in police custody and is cooperating with detectives as investigations continue.

“He had been hiding for days, but we were able to apprehend him in his hideout in Sotik on Saturday,” the commander said.
Authorities revealed that Nabea had initially been hosted by a relative in Utawala, Nairobi, but fled to Bomet upon learning that police were searching for him.

Following the alleged attack, the suspect reportedly dumped the bishop’s body in a nearby bush.
