Kevin Kiprotich, a 30-year-old man from Eldoret, admits that there was a time in his life when he believed he knew better than everyone else.
Advice from family and friends often went in one ear and out the other—until a difficult situation forced him to reflect and completely change his approach to life.
“I used to think people were just being negative or trying to control my decisions,” Kevin begins.
Growing up, Kevin was known for being independent and confident. While those qualities helped him in some ways, they also made him resistant to guidance.

“I believed I had to figure everything out on my own,” he says.
After finishing school, Kevin moved to Nairobi in search of opportunities. The city offered freedom, and he embraced it fully.
