Kenya’s Albert Korir Banned for Five Years Over Doping Violation

 

Kenya’s 2021 New York Marathon champion Albert Korir has been handed a five-year ban after admitting to the use of a performance-enhancing drug, the Athletics Integrity Unit has announced.

In a statement, the AIU confirmed that Korir accepted the charge and the sanction, bringing an abrupt halt to his competitive career.
