Over 30 Grade 4 Pupils Hospitalised in Kitale After Suspected Food Poisoning From Shared Mangoes

More than 30 Grade 4 pupils from Big Tree Comprehensive School were rushed to hospital on Thursday, March 12, after experiencing symptoms believed to be linked to food poisoning.

The incident caused concern among teachers and parents after several learners suddenly complained of stomach pain while at school.

According to reports, the situation began earlier in the day when one of the pupils brought two mangoes to school and decided to share them with classmates

The fruit was reportedly divided among several students during break time, a common practice among children who often share snacks while at school.
